Escultura en bronce realizada en 2003 por el escultor José Manuel Belmonte Cortés tras concurso convocado por le Ayuntamiento de Córdoba.
The fountain consists of a square pool with walls covered in goat marble, in the center of which is the sculptural group. Two typical Cordovan women, one on each side of a pillar that houses the water pipe. One wears a pitcher on her hip, and the other has one hand in the water and a pitcher next to it. Both, combed with the old and typical Cordovan bows and combs from the mid-20th century.
The work has an added plate where some verses by the poet Miguel Salcedo Hierro are read:
"Women of love imprisoned,
and hidden and prudent beauty: Renewing promises, to be eternally from Córdoba,
in the spring water "
The fountain alternates goat marble and mine stone.
