Este barrio presentaba un estado de total abandono hasta 1992 que los vecinos empezaron a movilizarse para conseguir las mejoras urbanísticas que hoy día se pueden apreciar. La plaza Capataz Ignacio Torronteras Paz constituye hoy día el núcleo social de este barrio. Uno de sus accesos peatonales es la calle Francisco Moreno Anguí, donde se sitúan dos fuentes muy similares aunque de diferentes dimensiones.
Fountain composed of a circular pool lined with marble in two colors, forming vertical bands. In the center a quadrangular pyre that barely protrudes from the sheet of water in which a red marble sphere has been arranged, secured by three metal supports. A jet of water runs through the marble sphere and pours the water down low. The interior of the pond is decorated with tile tesserae.
