Fuente realizada en 1868 por Ricardo José de Montis a la vez que realizaba el conocido Estanque de los Patos, en el otro extremo del mismo jardín. El grupo escultórico realizado por José Carrilero Gil, que representa al Agricultor, a la Agricultura y al Progreso, se instaló en 1964.
Description
Large circular pond that barely protrudes from the ground level with an edge made of white artificial stone. In the center stands, on a Corten steel pedestal, a sculptural group representing the Farmer, Agriculture and Progress. Various aquatic plants such as papyrus and calla lilies grow inside the pond. Two jets of water are projected on the sculptural group.
